Transnational activity
The Local Action Group Varsin Hyvä is looking for international cooperation partners. Our diversified area of operations is located close to the Baltic Sea in Southwest Finland, near the 60th Northern latitude. River valleys and forests split this old residential and farming area, known as the granary of Finland. An urban look and rapid changes are brought along by the City of Turku.
In recent years we have launched over one hundred projects, on terms of sustainable development. Our resources are best suited for activities supporting cultural travelling, hiking in the nature, and interaction between cities and countryside. Our most important task is to inspire and help people in rural areas to develop their own surroundings and environment.
At the moment, Varsin Hyvä is targeting the international field of operation. Our first two inetrnational projects during the period of 2003-2006 were connected with recreational use of rivers and tourism development in national parks. These projects were realized together with spanish partners. For further information concerning national parks development, please click

We are now looking for new collaboration partners to realize cooperative projects which carry out our themes. We are especially interested in partners from the Baltic countries and Sweden.
